The Reine Sofia museum (Queen Sogia Museum) was inaugurated on 1992. Is the 3 angle of the “Madrid art triangle”, compose by the Prado museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum the all 3 are in a 10 minutes’ walk distance.On the permanent collection the most relevant artist are Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Joan Miro represented by some of their best paintings. Just an example, you will find here “Guernica” painted by Pablo Picasso.There are also collections from surrealist artist like Francis Picabia, René Magritte, Oscar Dominguez or Yves Tanguy.Besides Pablo Picasso, there are other cubist artists like Juan Gris, George Braque, Robert Delaunay, Fernand Léger or Albert Gleizes.
