Animal park 20 minutes from Madrid center
You will have a wonderful time with kids in Faunia animal park, Faunia is not the typical animal park, if you are traveling with children they will love it. You will not find the big animals that you find in a zoo but much smaller but also much closer.There is also a farm with, donkeys, sheeps, goats, chickens, pigs, etc.The park is structure in different ecosystems with animal living together, the habitats that you will find are the jungle, African forest, warm forest, live in the poles and the dark ecosystem (animals that lives in the dark).There are also plenty of exhibitions scheduled every day like, the two that I liked the most are the Californian sea bears & sea lions and the flying exhibitions with eagles, owls and exotic birds. You will be able to do the entire park in 4 or 5 hours.There is also a 3D cinema theatre in the middle the park where you can see a film about dinosaurs.You have different areas of restaurant and kiosk where you can eat sandwich’s, hot dog, salads and burgers.In Faunia you have the possibility to swim with sea bears in the Steller Bay that is one of the exclusive of this park, if you want to impress your kids that would be a great way. For this activity, you have to book in advance here is the link.Opening hours: In general, the park is open every day from 10:30 to 19:00. In the weekends and bank holydays will close at 20:00 and in summer time sometime close at midnight. Here after you will find a link so you will have the specific time table for your visit.
