The Royal Palace of Madrid

Madrid Royal palace is in the western side of downtown Madrid. You have the possibility to visit the palace and make a tour.

The palace is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00 in winter (October thought Mars), from 10:00 to 20:00 in summer time (April thought September). You have 45 minutes to visit the palace and 30 minutes to visit the Royal Armory.

The normal price is 11€ and the reduce price is 6€ (for children, 5 to 16 years old, seniors over 65). The entrance is free for people with disability.

The Royal Palace will be closed on Madrid bank holydays like 1st and 6th of January, 1st of May and 25th of December. If you want to have more detail in closing dates you will find the information here

Madrid Royal Palace is the largest European Palace in square meters and has more than 3000 rooms.

If you do not want to visit the palace, you can just visit the gardens of Sabatini, you do not need tickets, are free and just visit the exterior of the Palace. If the weather is nice it would be a great walk around fountains, vegetation and statutes.

There are also other gardens in front of the Royal Palace called, gardens of “El Campo del Moro”, you will have a great view of the Palace.

The Royal Armory is also in interesting place to visit, is consider one of the best ones in the world with pieces from the 13th century.

The address of the palace is Bailen street, if you get there by car or taxi. You can get there by bus, the buses numbers are (3, 148, 39 and 25). You can also get by subway on “Plaza de España” station (L2, L3 and L10) or “Opera” station (L2 and L5).
